Some Things I Struggle To Accept

You live in Wales, it's going to rain practically every day. Especially this time of year.

If you get up ten minutes prior to when you leave the house, your make-up and hair is not going to be perfect.

Not everybody will like you, and that's not so bad.

If you leave having a shower until after your brother has had one, you will have about three minutes before the water turns stone cold.

If you are kind, that kindness will not always be returned.

You can't be good at everything, nobody is.

Some people would be grateful for your "bad days."

The past and future is next to irrelevant now, focus on the present.

If you want to get something done, drinking tea under your duvet will probably not help.

If you lie in bed until twelve 'o' clock, you're going to struggle getting to sleep the next night.

Grades are not everything.

...However you should probably revise for your maths exam tomorrow now...

What do you struggle to accept?
Thank you for reading!

I would love for it to rain every day instead of the sticky humid heat we get.. so I guess thats one thing I struggle to accept.

Ah, you have the complete opposite weather of what we have! Fancy swapping for a week or two?

  3. As I read the one about drinking tea in your bed I looked from my mug of hot chocolate to my covers to my Algebra textbook across the room and sighed. :)

  6. I've just stumbled across your blog and what a great first post to read!

"Some people would be grateful for your bad days" - this is such an important point and really got me thinking. I also love the point on kindness, but would add that it's cool to keep being kind anyway and not expect anything in return :)

    1. Thank you Jodie, welcome to this little corner of the internet!
You are very right, I think we would all be happier people if we gave out kindness without the expectation of it being returned :)

  7. I think I am guilty of quite a few of these ;) The one with the older brother is relatable, however I am the older sister who uses all of the hot water in my house, haha! I loved reading this post Lauren, it made me laugh!
